Self-steering bullet

I don't think that it'll replace the assalt rifle, or find use as a section weapon. I think it'll first deploy as another tool in the FSG tool box with partol commanders being able to lase targets. What might be of more use is laser guided mortar rounds.

I think it's a government-funded think tank project. The only way they'll make that work is to make it a smooth bore so that they can increase velocity without dealing with gyroscopic effects. They obviously have a problem with targeting speeds as related in that it is "More accurate at longer ranges" indicating it must slow down significantly to be able to correct flight path in a timely manner. The comment about sporting use is a joke. This project gets rehashed every so often. I see it as more of my tax dollars being wasted.~Muir

anyone else read that as soft porn version?:scared:

Yes

Disappointed now.

Researchers say special gunpowder may be needed to help the bullet achieve faster speeds

I would suggest they need to do more research and just who is the researcher - Guy Fawkes?

Were as before you only had to hold a steady aim till you had pulled the trigger now you have to hold steady till you hit it, much more easy:cuckoo:
