We have no tolerance for dogs on their last chance that chase/kill or attempt to kill stock,sheep/calves whatevers. The use of such a collar can mean life on the farm or no life at all. They are an extension of you in the field and the dog realises that 100-500 yards separation doesnt count anymore. The collars are not at all bad..shitt we have played many drinking games with them on ourselves, true!
There is a mob here that ran a program to 'snake proof' your dog. It was done through one of the Deer Clubs. IE allow dog to come into some sort of close contact with a real snake and administer the 'training' . Dogs then know not to go near a snake..end of story....NOT end of dog.
