The big flas are starting to show and I’ve met a few wandering about on the main road looking for a mission .

Heard 3 stags calling over the weekend
Main event still a bit away
Young stags still in groups and plenty of hinds out with no stags in attendance
This old boy though was well coloured and stinking in early September

Out last evening, saw quite a few Sika, didn't hear anything though. Probably too warm here just yet.

Yes, one here in Lancashire last week and reports also in from Dorset to Inverness-shire and the borders.

Saw a wallow open a month back so it all feels quite early. Colder weather forecast next week could/should help
