I had a bit in the last year where I was waking up needing to go in the night a lot. I've been using the following:
Decaf
Work out timing for last sensible time for a cuppa/drink before bed (do this after the heatwave). There's a goldilocks zone between too early so you're thirsty in the morning and too late so you wake up needing a wee.
Make a point of holding onto a full bladder during the day to increase your tolerance, including practicing tensing the sphincter on your bladder- it's a muscle and can be trained.
Get an idea of how full your bladder is when needing to pee- is it really full or just a bit.
Once you've done those, when you wake in the night, if your bladder isn't completely full, choose to ignore it. With time I was able to hold it overnight and even if half waking, can get back to sleep more easily. Not a complete solution but has helped.
