EDC are under 3" now clarified as including the definition of measured from handle to tip , including the none sharpened section . Folders with no locking device.

Unfortunately Luminosity is soon lost if an evening stalk lasts an hour or greater there is little chance the light will be much if anything at all. Even the snap to function night fishing chem lights dont last that long . Practically every knife lost has a common thread " i put it on the ground " Simply dont do this the ground isn't sanitary anyhow , wipe it and pop it back in the sheath to tie off or roll / move the beast !
Bright orange is my top requested knife handle but even as light is just fading the brightness of the orange fades as the light just starts to fade and blends very well with dry grass and leaves. Soon into the search the knife cannot be found for lack of light .
Love to hear of a better way of keeping track of a knife than re-sheathing through the process and never putting it down if anyone ever finds one ?
I have a client that lost a bright orange handled knife , it was recovered from a stream when it was low many months later and the bright orange was what attracted his eye in the now low clear water , so i am not saying it is not a good colour just that it doesn't do much at all as the light fades , when we are most likely to actually shoot deer!
The knife recovered from the stream is below , didn't do so bad the edge was dulled from deforming on the rocks , handle a tad duller and bits of rust ( stainless knife steels cannot be 100% rustless left under water for months , it cleaned up nice in the end though

I’m not
I don’t care about grinds and have been using sharp knives to do deer for many many years.
As I’ve said, if it’s sharp it does the job good enough.
Life is too short to be precious about something as negligible as the shape of a sharp edge.

Luminous,l was using the wrong word.
Bright orange handle and sheath.
Sheath stays in trouser knife pocket,knife in and out as used,not on ground or stuck in tree etc.
Handy being bright orange in as much as should it falk out of pocket in sheath while wiggling through a hedge, rolling under barb or doing the same over a Devon Bank,if l feel it gone it is easy to retrace the next morning and pick up.
The green or black ones are hard to see.
So hand on knife or in sheath at all other times as a rule.

No argument my side , just trying to make life easier for yourself and other members reading on the forum . Many stalkers have a drawer or box of knives that dont give much useful working life, the shape and efficiency of the edge can practically always be vastly improved for our purposes making things quicker , easier and safer with a longer time period before needing attention
Hi viz , day glow whatever we all know . The only issue is you need light for colours to not be shades of grey .
