Spotting scope

Hi guys just asking for some information on spotting scopes
Looking for recommendations only looking at 500 to 600 yards
Ranges and not wanting to spend more than £200 seen alot of second hand ones for sale which would give me a good value for money options

What are you trying to look at?

At £200 you will be limited to low mag ranges (20-30x max) or else the image will be dark/blurred.

I'd say you need to spend £200 or at least £100 to get a decent tripod...

Only looking at a target board out to a max range of 600 have a tripod

Sorry to be a pain but what mag would be ideal for what I'm after?

I use a 20-60x80 kowa TSN1 which cost me about £350 a few years back you might get a fixed 30x for less money. Either will be fine but you’re not going to see bullet holes at 600 with either but perfect for spotting marked shots or bullet splash or bullet trace

I have a Kowa, as Rob says, twitchers like the latest kit so lots of good second hand kit about. I bought mine from London Camera Exchange rather than risk eBay.

Spotting Scope KOWA 77mm TSN-2 + 30x Wide Angle + Cover + Velbon D-600 Tripod | eBay

We specified the '30x wide' eyepiece because it gives a really good clear and bright view in comparison to a '20-60x zoom'.
