Available: Stalkers First Aid Training

excellent points made through this thread, being HSE qualified and through my occupation having dealt with knife and firearm injuries regularly, creating a realistic training environment is essential, classroom nice for building theory, get the practicals out into the working environment. I do this for lgv/pcv drivers in their periodic training and when doing 4x4 off road training events, it is enjoyable and hit's home the inconveniences of applying 'real' 1st aid in situ

Planning is advanced for this Course...venue,duration to confirm by next week, looks like it may run in Hampshire at a prestigious training venue, to maximise the practical value/scenarios it may have to be a 2-day job. Will advise asap, and thanks for the positive feedback, those that wish to consider this Course can send me a private message with their contact phone numbers so that I can co-ordinate the likely initial student numbers.

Now happy to announce that this Course is a go in late January, and very pleased to be working on this project with Mike and Dave at Jelen Deer Services...those previously interested can e/mail me to confirm their interest and book a slot on the Course...we have had to make this Course a 2/day because of the early dark evenings and the level of practical input we wish to do in the field...cost will be £120 per student ,obviously overnight accommodation will be a factor for some and this may possible to organise locally as there is a Travelodge at Sutton Scotney,....this Course is the only one of it,s type in the UK and will be suitable for any form of shooting related activity...Estate managers may be liable in the future for a"Dutyof Care" requirement to leaseholders who resort or take clients out for stalking etc. so be ahead of the game (no pun intended) and qualify, this Course ticks all the boxes in the HSE REQUIREMENTS,and you owe it to yourself, friends and clients!

Looks good please book me but can I have the exact dates please. This is a busy time of year. Also if possible a beginning and end time for the first day.

Thank you

please can you give us a date please, i have pm'd ytene with a strong interest of doing this course but as a keeper we are shooting till the 31stJan/1stfeb and the dates could clash with a shoot day.

Hi Guys, the proposed dates are the 28th/29th January at Chilbolton Down/Jelen Deer Services as we are involving other agencies for casualty simulations we cannot move on the dates...First Day..Classroom based with practical/Second Day..Practical Field scenarios...more details when you book with Jelen Cheers,Tony

Hi Tony,

sorry cant make that saturday as it is a very busy one for most game shooters as its the last one of season,

hope you will be doing more later on in the year.

many thanks Tony

We hope to run them bi-monthly so do not worry,we think that the initial interest and good feedback will fuel the courses to be a desired"must have" ticket, coupled with the aforementioned Duty of Care that is becoming endemic in the shooting environment...Tony

Those people that expressed an interest in the Stalkers First Aid Course and wish to book on the Course can do so by contacting Mike Allison at Jelen Deer Services to reserve a place on the 28th/29th January ,places are limited to 12 students and the slots are filling up....Happy New Year:) Tony

Thats a very good price indeed, I would certainly do a course but lucky enough to have the qualifications through my job. Any of you who havent done such a course will be surprised at how much you will learn.

Pete

Hi Chickenman, many thanks for that...the content will be very different from the normal First Aid Courses, practical team scenarios in the woods, and will be involving several casualties in varying conditions,as well as one on one situations to name but a few....Mike is putting some of his staff through and we are all very enthused by the response and resources available to us to enable a great couple of days:-D Happy New Year,Tony

Hi Chopper we have pitched the course at £120 all inclusive for the two day course you can pm me and I will give you more info,Happy New Year, Tony

Hi Chopper, thanks I will hear from you soon I hope...I would add that this course is designed for all field shooting disciplines not purely Stalkers,so it would be great for keepers or Shoot Captains etc. that is how we have planned the input..ATB,Tony

Hi all

Just wondering how the structured course for one day at £40 pounds which turned into a two day at £120 went as the said good feedback seems minimal at this point..

As far as i am aware the three year accredited course takes three days and the two days offered here would not give you a recognised certification as stated.

Myself and all our employees are emergency first aid responders so the common sence to have the qualification is not in question.
