Surrey & Sussex combined Firearms Licensing

Had reason to ask for a variation to my ticket this week, only to find that Surrey and Sussex are now combined for the purposes of Firearms licensing and is now based in Lewes rather than Guildford.

The reason for variation was that I had applied for moderators for my four rifles, but had only gotten around to buying three (using the same mod for my .223 &.243). Having outed the .243 complete with moderator, I went looking for a mod for the .223, found one and made arrangements to pick it up from one of the guys on here then, only because the seller was on the ball, I realised that my ticket showed as me having aquired 4 moderators, so although I had the 'right' to buy a mod, I didnt have a spare slot. Long story short, I spoke to the guy at Lewes on Tuesday, he recognised the issue and on reciept of my current ticket, posted out the ammended ticket which arrived today, and no charge as it was their mistake. Excellent service.

I'm in Sussex so not much in the way of change, but I've always had excellent service - recent variation was rapid, despite the disruption to everything else. Helps that my FEO is a decent guy and very responsive

My recent variation with Surrey/Sussex took 7 weeks.
It did have an additional land inspection added at the same time though. Whether they actually did check it is unknown but they passed it anyway.
