Swaro Z6i 1-10x 42 vs S&B Zenith 6x42

Hi all
Quick question: is there a huge difference between the above 2 scopes? I currently have a Zenith 3-12 x 42 on a rifle and had heard the Z6i was a superb stalking scope also. However, it's considerably more in price. Looking at a scope for a new hunting rifle.
cheers
Ant

There is no 3-12x42 Zenith. If the numbers are right it will be a Klassik.

Depending on how old your Klassik is, I would not invest the extra money. Even if I was to buy all new, I would always prefer a Schmitd & Bender over the current Swaro scopes.

I’ve swarovski scopes z6i and z8i and they are superb in every way. In my opinion the best money can buy. Great scope and great customer service and back up. Invest in the best and you won’t go wrong mate

My bad, my current scope on my .243 is Zenith 3-12 x 50. Was new this year. About to get another rifle and so looking either for the same (love this scope) or the Swaro one.

I would try and have a look through the Swaro first. I had the same scope as you for many years but sold it to buy a driven game scope that was replaced by a Zenith 2.5-10×56 FD7 instead. I also have a fixed 8x56 S&B Hungarian as well. I was very impressed by Tim 243's Swaro Z6 2.5-15x56.

I have had Zeiss, Swaro and S&B and i wouldn't have another Swaro. I find the eye boxes on them a nightmare.

I just picked up a Schmidt bender 2.5-10x50 polar and to me it’s got to be a near perfect stalking scope. I’ve always liked schmidt more
Than ZEISS or swaro but they are all top notch. Build quality and optics edge it for me on Schmidt but it is subjective.

I have used the z6i with 42mm objective - nice scope - and took a chamois with one. I like S&Bs as well, in fact I think they are better mechanically - just feel really solid. But i’ve settled on a Leica er 2.5-10x42 for my 7x57. Just seems a really nice scope and substantially less than the Swaro or S&B.
