T3x stainless lite 308 chamber length please

I'm trying to save some time (never a good thing with reloading!) but I've a T3x lite being delivered to an RFD where I'd like to zero, shoot it in and ideally run a quick velocity test on some reloads. The RFD has a range and chrono but is an hour away so I don't want to have to drive down, pick up rifle, drive home, measure chamber and drive back just to shoot 10 shots over a chrono (other option is to borrow a chrono locally - so I might start another thread on that ).

So my question is, does anyone have a T3x lite in 308 and has a chamber measurement please? I appreciate they will vary slightly and I'll double check once I get my hands on mine and before shooting any reloads but it would make a good starting point.

For the avoidance of doubt, I'm talking CAOL; from bolt face to lands so I can then load at 50thou back from that measurement (Barnes bullets).

Unsure how much this will help - worst case could you not load your rounds up and lightly seat the bullets. When you collect it, quick measure of distance to lands and use a hand press (or unless you're going to Mike's in which case he will have a press somewhere) then seat to desired length?

I have a chrono you're welcome to borrow though if needs be and the above can't be done

That was sort of the plan. I've a test / dummy round made up ready to measure distance to lands and have just ordered an arbor press this morning so I'll be able to load them a touch long and bump them back as needed. I guess I was thinking of a ballpark to get me going but having a bit of a senior moment as it doesn't really matter if I bump them back 10thou or 200thou on the day - it'll make no odds to how long it all takes

The mag won't take over 71mm rounds so just load them at that. The chamber will take longer rounds (with Barnes copper bullets).

I'd suggest that you buy a box of factory copper ammunition and zero with that when you collect the rifle. Then reload at your leisure.

Just load your bullets to manufacturer's recommended OAL: chances are they will shoot better than you can. I have a T-3 Lite stainless 308 that I have never measured anything on. Drives tacks.

I'd suggest that you buy a box of factory copper ammunition and zero with that when you collect the rifle. Then reload at your leisure.

I have a box of factory sat here already which I will zero with in the short term but from a reloading perspective it still means 2 trips to the range whether it is next month or next year. I'm trying to avoid a 2hr round trip to fire 10 shots over a chrono. If I can kill 2 birds with one stone and shoot those 10 shots at the same time I collect the rifle then job's a goodun.

2.855" COAL measured today on a Tikka T3X lite .308 with a Yew Tree 119 Grain TLR in.

Measure your factory rounds with a comparator and make your hand loads the same length.

I did my reloads the same length as a factory load the rifle liked, has been fine.
