Theoben Eliminator 22 best pellet type

I have a Eliminator 22 currently using bisley magnums and getting reasonable accuracy rifle is running at approximately 28 ft pounds,just wondering if there is a better pellet I can try

Honestly it's the age old advice, you just have to try different brands in your rifle to see what suits.

I am about to embark on this venture myself. I bought a sample pack of 22 pellets from the wolfman store think it was. They give you about 50 of the most common pellets to try. Alough I did have to buy air arms as an additional item.

Yes I know what you mean,some pellets seem to shoot erratic,I’ve tried quite a few but at the moment bisley magnums seem to be the only ones as far as accuracy is concerned

I’d try jsb 18 grain . They’ve been very accurate in every .22 air rifle I’ve tried them in up to 45ft lbs. I use the 5.52’s

Hardly any two rifles prefer the same pellets
Send away for a tester pack of a few and get testing

I had an Eliminator and it worked best with H+N Barracudas. The rifle had the power to get the relatively heavy pellets singing along at a good lick with good accuracy, and they hit squirrels like a brickies lump hammer

Ditto - work ace in my R10, pals Theoben Rapid 7 and other pals Daystate.

All FACs 28-40ftlb.

Ive one running at 24ftllbs and it was pellet fussy bit loves crossman premiers in cardboard box and believe me when i say ive tried loads.

I know its going off tangent a litle bit but ive had a few eliminators, always been a nightmare around the 30s, hard to cock, pellet fussy,smashing scopes, anyway this gunsmith took 1 of mine and he said thete was a sweetspot could be anywhere between 20 and 28 but say at 24 like mine it just feels easier to cock and better to shoot, obviously itl be easier than say 32 but the gun just feels different, also he took the damper mount o rings out and machined some press fit brass bushed again gun just shoots better, now ime not say drop it in power but if ya struggling with accuracy you could try it as a option just drop it a llb or two and have another go.

Good advice, I believe they shoot better at low twenties rather than high twenties

I ran my Eli at 28ftlbs. It was smooth and easy. Try RWS Superdome- at 28 it didn’t seem to need a heavy pellet. Very hold sensitive but otherwise a lovely rifle- mild recoil, beautifully made. Changed for an FAC HW80 at 18ftlbs in the end. Less hold sensitive, and (for me at least) more accurate. Loved the Eli though- iconic rifle now superseded by the PCP…..maybe.

I suspect you’ve probably already found the most accurate pellet (Bisley Magnums).
Due to the way the pulse of air is delivered in the Eliminator - I.e. quickly - you need a pellet with a very strong skirt. The BisMag fits the bill and the only other might be the aforementioned AA heavies.
