Following on from a recent trip down to Dorset on the Sika - I got chatting to the Stalker down there about non-lead bullets.
Notwithstanding the fact that we had bought factory ammunition, and not withstanding I never got to pull the trigger - he was kind enough to recommend a recipe which they have used down there for some time; using the Nielsen Sonic in 140g for the .308.
Obviously, the power he recommended does not form part of my 'extensive' powder collection. It never does.
Trying to locate some locally met with a fail, so I have put in for a delivery from Henry Krank's.
1lb = 7,000gr. The recipe indicates, I should get 142 cartridges out of each tub. Three tubs. More than I need for the life I have left.
Once the formalities were completed, they phoned me today with the final price for three tubs, plus delivery. The delivery is almost a quarter of the bill.
Suck it up S62, suck it up.
"Your delivery will be on Thursday, you must make sure that someone is in to sign. If they cannot deliver, they will charge the full delivery amount again".
"FFS That's fine. Can you give me a delivery time slot at all?"
"Standard 9-5".
"FFS. That's fine, I wasn't planning on doing much on Thursday anyway".
And so that is why, on Thursday, I will be mainly sat by the gate.
FFS.
