How do those with a high tick burden deal with them on dogs?

After a recent trip to some ground in south lakes, I’ve pulled 15 off my dog and the boss is not happy at all.

And yes, he’s treated with bravecto!

I use a cattle/sheep fly control which lasts for at least ten plus weeks and is very, very good value for money - look for Delta Mole, Swish or Dysect

I use nexgard or nexgard spectra. Youl get ticks crawling on the dog but never attached.. think that's as good as it gets..
Had about 15 the other day as I went into a known tick area but after her usual daily wash ,I gave her a comb and that was it

The Sarasto collar is a permanent fixture which is worn all the time by the dog and last approx 8-9 months

Very efficient and it works. My spaniel was a tick magnet and I used to get four or five of him weekly. Now none at all.

+1. Not a thing on the dog for a month.

They are dead. Nothing stops ticks attaching, ther is no repellent. (unless coated in axle grease)
