ok.

So first shot with my 17 remington tonight and the extractor claw fell out.

So after a google i cant seem to find a replacement kit, does anyone know if you can get these and if so where from.

Are they easy to fit.

Thanks in advance.

GMK would be my first thought, even though its an old model, they still might have parts, they certainly helped me when the bolt release went on my 595, I may be wrong but I think the T3 uses the same extractor

It’s different from the T3 but still available from the importer. They don’t generally fall out, did you have a case or primer rupture and blow it out?

yeah a primer blew out.

new norma brass and cci primers.

no where near the max load as i cant afford new barrels every few hundred rounds.

so im going to have to measure pockets and primers.

il give my local gun shop a shout on monday and see if gmk have a kit.

If you have the extractor plunger and spring then re fit

Kits are available for the 595 from GMK through your gun shop

The issue may be excess headspace if you are using moderate loads but getting blown primers

Seen this with a few 17 rems that have come to me to be put right after being built elsewhere

So Mr mckillop Rebuilt the bolt and fully checked the rifle over yesterday everything is bang on the money.
he noticed the flash hole was quite large so I've bought some remington brass now.
And I can compare between remington and the norma.
Thanks again for your quick prompt service Neil I feel much happier now I know the rifle is right.
