Tikka extractor repair

Bu×÷÷r , thought I'd read 595 .🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

A further boredom search has revealed nothing, apologies to the OP . If the M55 extractor fits the 65 then the same website , otherwise nothing.

Amazing! Thanks! Going there in 3 weeks..oh wait, Aussie land, thought it was US, bummer
As for post Im not sure export would be an issue if it's just a parcel of parts. I don't think you would have to identify them as a firearm part. It's not a restricted item here.
Plain packaging.

I couldn't find the info I read on Tikka upgrades pricing but the business is Ignition Custom Engineering ICE in Adelaide, South Australia.

They do the M16 upgrade and did not specify that it only suits a .223 case head etc.
I know Aussies used to get a Sako extractor put in the Rem 700
Anyway a short courteous email usually gets a response so it might be worth asking they may suggest an option that you can pursue in the UK.

If you need to source parts, Brownells seems to sell M16 type extractor kit for Rem 700 (including pin and spring) for £60. If that sounds dear and you're adventurous, bare AR-15 458 SOCOM extractor is £22. IIRC it shares the .473" bolt face of 308/30-06. I didn't see the cartridge specified (might have missed) but those are the most probable candidates in M65 (308 was also an option in the standard length action vs. M55). Something like 270 will share the bolt face, and 6.5x55 is only a tiny bit of not affecting extractor functionality.

Yeah just noticed that. I think I’ll try having a stronger spring under the extractor fitted, then if not working, have the extractor filed.

Failing that, time to retire..but I will miss that trigger! Best trigger I’ve ever had!..and of course, the fact it was the old man’s rifle.

Could always purchase another m series used rifle and keep it just for parts as spare parts and use the extractor assuming it works well still

Or use ammunition that the extractor will “extract”

Clean it and see if there is a difference with the ammunition it doesn’t like

As I said before, not all brass is equal

Is there a .223 T3 extractor kit in the UK? I had a primer blow out and the extactor came adrift. I didn't realise that the plunger is missing until I got home. Tried to find it on the Tunnel floor next day with a magnet, but no luck.

Update - cleaned the extractor spring of gunk and gave it a wee stretch. Purchased some quality Norma, and it’s now flicking them out like the good old days. T’was the brass essentially, lesson learned, always feed my M65 Norma.
