Tikka M658

I've been offered a Tikka M658 in .270 for quite good money but wanted to know people's opinions. The old Tikkas are meant to be better than the newer ones of today. The M658 I've been offered is like brand new, and could possibly pass as a new rifle. A genuine sleeper rifle.

I've had my lsa55 for over 30 years. It's now on it's 3rd barrel. So you could say I like it.....

I have a tikka M65 in .308. The action is gorgeous and it looks great, and I think the 65 is older than what you have found. I don't think that quality (not sure if it is still hand made?) is around for the money I guess you are looking at.

658 and 558 Tikkas have a plastic bolt sleeve intended to make bolt travel very smooth. It was not trouble free and was, therefore, not produced for long. It would have to be very cheap indeed for me to consider it.
