Time for some new Wellies .... Recommendations ?

I live in wellies day in day out for 6 months a year, more if its wet. Aigle Parcours, six years & still going. When its dry, socks & sandals.

Jesus, are they now £100? I think mine were about £55 but it was about 7yrs ago. Which is testament to how good they are. I have given mine a total beating and they are still warm, comfy and watertight.

My Aigle Pacor 2 where £79 when i paid for them 😂 that was some years ago, the stand at the Midland game fair knocked a tenner off them.

Those were the day's 😜

Sdf concensus is Skelkerup quatros.
About £100 very warm. Solidly built good fit but tad heavy. Brilliant in mud.

These.

Far superior to chameau and hunter

Great in v cold - used mine in -11 deep snow in nov/dec 22

Super comfy and wide toe area, also socks dont come off and roll down inside boot and they allow those of us with prop forward calves to fit into wellies

Looks like there's some deal on Grubs Highline @£40. Are these any good?

This is the offer that set me off in considering these as replacements for my worn out and tired Riverline Grubs, its the reviews that put me off and widened the search with you guys on here.

Leaking boots and cold wet feet can really spoil your day so worth spending a little more me thinks and based on some of the above recommendations

Cheers for all your input

My wellies get more use working the dog than anything else but i wear a pair year round twice a day and have found the decathlon wellies to be good value

I have wide feet and wanted zip up sides and neoprene..... aigle were not wide enough and chameau were too pricey, so I tried Gateway1Pheasant side zip... had them 2 seasons now and well pleased with them. got them at a slight discount and paid about 150 -160 for them

Looking at all the recommendations, I eventually decided on giving the percussion full length zip version a try, for two reasons, firstly for ease of removal and secondly as they also have the adjustable top strap to pull in the fit whereas the Decathlon full length zip at the same kind of price don't have.

This topic came up a couple of months ago (inevitably! ), and someone recommended Dedito boots. I bought some, can't vouch for longevity, but I am very pleased with them. Half the price of Aigle/Le Chameau boots.

I currently wear Rockfish Walkabout and find them extremely comfortable. Paid less than £90 by searching online.

I praised Grubs Wellies last year, as a bargain that at the price could be classed as throwaway. Mine gave up yesterday and I threw them away today. Seriously as general walkabout welly. They're not too bad.
