Hello, Yes why ?? , I was just thinking on the cost to toast bread , The design has not changed for years, Heating elements ?? I would have thought some bright spark would have come up with a new type of toasterdo you own a kettle?

Usually only eat breakfast on a Sunday, but this thread inspired me at 5am this morning! Buttered so melts & soaks, then bit more butter on top!!

Leave mine upright to rest a minute post toaster, still warm enough to have the butter melt in yet still remain visible. Makes for a good soldier!
Apart from some artisan butters, Kerrygold is a good everyday butter.

I am also a hot toast, butter straight on - usually leave the butter out for a good while as well before I even get to toasting.
