Transporting skinned carcasses direct to butcher

Evening all

I'm looking at finding a local outlet for my excess roe carcasses and have had some conversations with local butchers about supplying venison direct to them and it seems like it could be a goer. I'm in the process of getting set up as a food business and I was wondering what is the most practical way of transporting deer that has been skinned to a butchers when you have a pretty normal sort of stalkers truck!? I'm thinking it's probably best to cut up into the primal cuts and then use some large food grade bags in a crate, but I'm wondering how others are doing it? Are there any practical ways of transporting whole carcasses?

Thanks

Alaska Game bags (Check the right size for a roe) +
Decathlon Solognac Carry sack +
Ice packs in the cavity and around the carcass. If I am on a long journey, I wrap in clean towels.

I put mine inside an old double duvet cover and put in the back of the jeep. Butcher is 20 miles away from me and never have had any issues.

I use a good wrap of cling film and then in a JetSled for transporting skinned reds. A catering roll of cling film last for ages and it's pretty quick to walk around a hanging carcass a few times to give it a quick cover.

any sort of container to lift it of the floor of the truck/car, also something in the bottom to stop it sitting in its own blood, I just use the racks from the fridge and i put them in a muslin game bag like the Alaska ones called out above. depending on how quickly you can go from skinning to getting to the butcher you may need to think about cooling. as once its been in the fridge you want to prevent it heating up to much frozen bottles/ice packs in there or a big cool box should work. Your EHO should let you know what they are comfortable with

Not wishing to hijack this thread, and acknowledging the Op is approaching this as the Law requires in terms of Registration as a "Small Food Business", I nonetheless do wonder what percentage of the wider and oft' head-scratching deerstalking community is similarly compliant when faced with securing a home for their carcasses.

A large plastic box, and wrap them in cling film, with the tag attached. Straight from the chiller to the Butcher. However, I think you also need a refrigerated vehicle. But this can be overcome by placing clean clear plastic lemonade bottles filled with frozen water in the plastic box to keep the carcasses cool.
You will also need the appropriate paperwork to do so from the local council.

Amazing thanks very much for all the answers. Some good options there.

As a follow up, what are people charging for skinned roe? I'm going on about £1.50/kg for carcass int he fur, but how do you price the skinning and extra faf?

£10 for skinning seems to be the going rate on giving up the game
Hardly seems worth the faff
