Just ordered some replacements myself.
BUT you need to buy this sort not the standard type of thermos. These are guaranteed to last 24 hours rather than 8 for the standard flask.
Amazon is presently the cheapest place to buy although they are not in stock until later this month - they will however place on backorder at these prices

Brithunter:- in agreement with you on flask made coffee, what I do is take 2 in 1, or if you take sugar, 3 in 1 Kenco coffee sachets, your obligatory flask of water, don't forget your teaspoon, and as the late Bernard Matthews would say "Bootiful"...callie

I have rather given up on flasks for any thing other than keeping things hot for a couple of hours. instead I have a little pocket rocket burner, plus a small gas canister, and these two along with tea bags fits inside a stainless steel mug. The whole lot weighs less than a flask. It is very quick to set up, poor in some water, and three minutes later water is close too boiling - fresh tea / coffee or whatever regardless of how long you have been out of the house. I keep mening to count how many brews I get from a canister, but it's about ten to fifteen.

Bought a stanley flask when I was in the usa in 1984 it keeps coffee boiling hot for 24hrs.
Buy a seconhand oldy from the bay and job done.

I have had two proper Stanley flasks in two years, they have both failed. Returning them is not easy in the UK.

I bought that was faulty emailed to complain the reply i got came from Leicester UK and asked for it to be returned ireceived a ned one 2 days later and it works fine

1. Pre-heat flask first with a drop of boiling water and then empty.
2. If using milk, warm it up in the microwave before adding (not boiling though).
3. Leave an air gap and keep flask the right way up if possible.

I spent many months in Norway in mid winter and picked up a few 'flask tips'!
MS;)

I love this; so sad but so 'Right'! Its got WIN written all over it.

Because I don't expect to throw my flask about, I have gone back to original glass ones. ( but I do carry a coleman pump up petrol stove just in case) and they keep hot , hot for ages. IMHO

All this pre heating stuff ive tried it and it melts the ice cream i put in after :-D

Jason

PS i always carry a kelly kettle with me

Ive used the asda wide mouth stainless flask purchased for £10. Had the first one 3yrs before it failed, have had the latest 12 months and coffee still hot enough to enjoy after 6hrs, .As per previous advise scald the flask before use and micro wave the milk before adding
