WTF?? It's already been pointed out to you several times that your continued insistence about this is wrong and the law ( inter alia CIDRA 2012) explicitly and unambiguously contradicts your position.
You then insist the law is irrelevant and keep rubbishing anyone who posts anything resembling the factual. Insurance companies are regulated financial businesses, they do not and cannot ignore the law recklessly.
Up to you. I have made my point. If you dont agree then thats fine. I suggest you spraj to any insure and ask them who in the cintract has duty to disclose.

Well the various insurers I use are familiar with the law, have a position that aligns with my opinion and there is no duty for individuals to disclose.

Correct, there is no grey area here, it is black and white. The law was changed in 2013 to remove the duty of disclosure from the customer as it was determined that the customer could not be relied upon as competent to do so. Insurers are free to determine their own risk parameters and ask relevant questions of the customer to ensure that the risk falls within their risk envelope and the customer must simply choose to answer the question or not.
Renewed with NFU recently (must do better next year) and a mandatory limit of 2000 cartridges or pay more. I have never heard of exploding shotgun shells so as the cost was the same with less than 2000, no problem.
I am however disgusted that no evidence for hiking premiums except the need to feed shareholders pockets. NFU are losing their 'friends of the countryside' tag for me.
Still, they are all thieves and rogues in this industry - I wonder if anyone is watching these changes in pratice
My old landrover insurer offered a 10% discount for FAC/SGC holders. As they were seen to be more rural users of the vehicles, rather than just being used to clog the road outside the school.
