Nice one, i had 2 my excuse one for day one for night,
I then got a 204 use both of them for foxing but the duece is also an excellent choice for muntjac, canada geese culls and even Roe up north, lovely little calibre

Old tenon (Sako original barrel) was .020” undersize) established after measuring the action
The barrel was so loose in the action thread it could be described as a “wizards sleeve fit”
The new tenon is a “slightly” better fit ,,,,not reminiscent of sloppy seconds
Barrel now chambered in 222

The 222 was the first centerfire cartridge I ever fired . I shot my grandfathers 722 in 222 he purchased new in 1958 . I was about 8 when I fired the 722 that woulda been 1969 . His 722 has been in my possession now for about 16 years . My grandfather killed a boat load of groundhogs with it as well as a pile of hawks and one truely huge 6 point whitetail buck , the spread on the buck is 23” inches now even after drying for 54 years .

, Not sure, but it IS the jewel in the crown, picking up tomorrow, setting it up Saturday morning..25-06 sight stripped off, rail off, mag & bolt out... on deep clean, bore scope tomorrow for a condition check.
If declared in decent condition will put it up for sale.
