Could someone please tell me what the hand held hook is called the chap uses whilst butchering the deer and where I can purchase one?

Tried a load of searches on google but cant work it out !

yeah I tried that one before but just hundreds of pictures of s shaped hooks

I've got a couple of the old wooden handled one's but they wouldn't pass a hygiene inspection.... There was an old abatoir on the farm with all sorts of gruesome looking implements left by the previous owners.

Love the irony in this, cockney rhyming slang for "look" is "Butchers" which comes from "Butchers Hook"

Cheers folks, someone from this site has contacted me and sold one so ill hopefully be able to test it out soon.

Butchered a roe this evening but it took me a fair bit longer than the 8 minutes the chap above takes!
