I wanted to share with you this .300 H&H rifle, with some repairs made by a gunsmith from my country.

I have a singular affection for this caliber with so much history and such good performance.

Hello colleagues.

I think that what happens with Winchesters in the UK is comparable to what happened with the Mannlicher Schonauer.

There is nostalgia for the incomparable 98 action, for me, essential in dangerous hunting, I always prefer them although in the case of this rifle, I wanted the caliber and the push feed, it does not define anything in plain game.

The rifle, is of all my liking, Winchester is a brand that I respect, with very good benefits for its cost.

Five shots at 164 yards.

I used a Winchester M70 Extreme Weather in Namibia a few years ago, and ordered one in .30-06 when I got back to the UK. It's not a thing of beauty, but it's accurate, reliable and feeds faultlessly. They're also very good value.

I have been a Mod 70 fan for years and own four including a .300 H+H but I have to say that my personal preference wouldn't include those open sights.
They don`t fit in with such a beaut rifle...(imo)
