Couple of quick points, sorry if they duplicate.
The biggest factor in the price of petrol is the Government, I think that of the £1.05 odd per litre that most now pay the Government gets at least 80p. (It's still available for 99.9p in parts of North Wales but it will cross the £1 soon.)
The guys who own the independent garages get only a couple of pence per litre and in many cases they are buying it more than the big chains and supermarkets are selling it for.
I had a Rangie running on LPG and it was great, mine even started on LPG and cost the equivalent of 35 mpg to run with all the V8 performance.
What I have noticed that a lot of the bigger petrol companies are jacking up the price of LPG to be about half the unleaded price despite the fact that the Government has frozen duty on it and that's a bit naughty - or has the duty cap come off now?
For those with branches near you need to look at Countrywide stores as they certainly used to have the cheapest LPG around.
