How many of you guys are bikers

My first bike was a Suzuki GSX600, then followed by two CBR600's, boy how I miss going out early mornings scratching on the breakfast run with the lads.

ATB 243 Stalker.

View attachment 74701 This is mine Colin. I bought it primarily for playing about on but also for touring around Scotland and abroad after a few years without one. Saw places in my own country this year and last I'd never been to before. Got more off road orientated tires on it and this was first day out on them off the tarmac, for a run through Keilder Forest, where I discovered after taking this photo they were still way short of being knobbly's like I used to have.......and got stuck down in this sand pit! Amazing how the thought of a 7 mile walk in off road bike gear can generate enough strength to eventually bully the thing up the hill and onto the fire-road again!
Nice machine Brian , il probably go for something more comfy like yours next time

Started on a Honda XL250K3, Yamaha RD250lc, Honda Xl100, Kawasaki Z650, Wife and family commitments then took priority. Then Honda VTR1000 Firestorm, Honda SP1 as in picture, sold it and regretted it but thankfully I have another one now.

Fine bike Fine view.

Just returning to bikes after a 30 year lay off, lost the lower part of my right leg in March 86 and have just bought a 600 Bandit and am installing a thumb brake under the clutch lever, just got the brake light switch to fit and off l go.

Weds just gone, got up at 0330, went to Embra, flew to Gatwick, train to Victoria, cab to BMW Park Lane, concluded deal, drove 1200GSLC TE home arriving at 2000, parked it next to the oil cooled 1200 GS I did 3000 miles round Europe on 3 months ago, so yes suppose I must be a biker.

Last w/e drove the 'old' one to Ullapool, camped, drove home Sunday, Mon am left home at 0700, rode to Grantown via Braemar, Crathie, Corgarff, Lecht, Tomintoul, met boys for brekky, went to Chanonry Point(no effing dolphins as usual), Nigg, over to Cromarty on wee ferry, Tain for lunch, right across to Lochinver for tea and buns and up to Durness to stay in the Lazy Crofter hostel, next day to Laxford Bridge and across to Lairg, A9 and home.

Good weeks biking!

Twenty-seven or so years ago. Kawasaki GPZ 750 Turbo. Not now. Too many other people on the road happy to kill you through their own poor driving.

Loved my bikes right up until I looked at the faces of all my kids stood round the hospital bed...
