So . . . .

My vote to leave was based on years of more and more intrusive legislation. In the industries that I have worked in.
I will admit some has been for the better. But that’s not to say we wouldn’t of got it anyway.
The original idea of the EEC was not a bad one, however we are in my opinion far removed from that.
It is not longer nation states in a trading agreement. But approaching the United States of Europe.

But the ballet paper options didn't include "Leave & EU Disbandment".

Yep! I saw this written on a bus too. A REMAINER bus. Is that EU blue? LOL!

Like Boris Johnson's 350M for the NHS it's something else that isn't true.

So let's be optimistic...and I'm find it hard...that remain voters don't get all of the things they perdicted.

The red bus said wouldn't it be better to spend the 340 million on the NHS where is the lie in that

The red bus said wouldn't it be better to spend the 340 million on the NHS where is the lie in that
But Jack I'm sorry to say it didn't... the thing all sides are forgetting is we're dealing with politicians here, what the bus said if you google it is

We send the EU 350 million a week
Let's fund the NHS instead

Very cleverly worded I admit but it doesn't state that the government would give the 350mil to the NHS does it !!
Had it said let's give it to the NHS that would be a different story.
See the thing is people saw it and read into it what they wanted to see.
This along with many false truths spouted by both sides were what allowed the media to whip the country into frenzy and sell many papers.

On the BBC news website yesterday morning there was an article about Merkel promising a more aggressive Germany as she strives to restore 'world order'

Now where have I heard that expression before :-|

Curiously the story was quickly pulled

So where is the lie the remoaners bang on about ( I tried to make it simple for the remoaners that cannot understand what they read )

how about we forget about the eu ,we will get what the mp,s want and have to live with it,so lets get on with our own lives and as usual take what we are given!!!!!

Why should we? You can see all over the news ... the French aren’t sitting still for what Macron & Brussels wants, so why should we not be vocal with our own MP’s/Government.

This I 100% agree with but just don't apply it to protection of our collective passion as an empty but securely attached cabinet to a South facing wall is all but assured for the first FAC holder caught lobbing eggs at Jeremy Corbyn and his standard bearrer, Chris Packham!

You didn't but given an apparent objection to a "United States of Europe" I figured, possibly incorrectly, that in our leaving the EU this may be what you and many more besides additionally hope for?

Who, besides raving lunatics, the corrupt and some very shady billionares, want anything even remotely like the "united states of europe" ? I certainly don't, because i, like everyone else knows that the USE, is code for a German superstate.

Britain's most shameless mother? Tattooed Mandy wants her TEN kids to have FIFTY grandchildren... all to keep benefits rolling in

But, hey ho, having a friend who ran a Post Office on one of Leicester's large council estates for forty years where there are families who, from generation to generation have never worked a day in their lives what do I know.

And, of course, as BB has spent all that time abroad he's also not imposed himself on the NHS as, like many of the above, through self-inflicted health issues or tattoo removals, or had their kids taken into care when they've served their purpose of being used to avoid the mother taking on work.

I think that whoever else voted Leave, and for whatever reason, that you'll find that the majority of the great British workshy, who've never paid tax in their lives but claimed plenty in benefits, our "poor white trash", probably voted Leave. Because all the misfortune and squalor of their feckless lives is always someone else's fault but theirs.

No wonder BB thinks he has the right to complain about what he has lost.

I was watching a programme on youtube made in 1985 about the massive Swindon rail works, it employed 14,000 people, and was one of the largest factories in the world, they could make and did make everything and anything in metal, even ships and ships engines. Then you had the mining industry which employed millions, the engineering industry making everything from knitting needles to nuclear reactors, the armourments industry, huge factories like Vickers, BSA, Enfield, Fazakerly etc. The motorcycle industry, BSA (again), Triumph, Norton, AMC, Vincent, Panther, Brough, Excelsior, and about 100 other. The motor industry, Fords massive Dagenham plant, The Rootes group, Rovers Longbridge plant, etc. Sheffield, everything in steel, excellent tools, excellent razors, knives etc etc. Birmingham and its gun quarter, dozens of really good makers of sporting rifles, shotguns and pistols, The mills in the north, the pottery trade i could go on for hours.

My point is every town had a big factory or mill, or mine and there was work, social clubs, sports teams etc. When that factory or whatever closed, that town became an unemployment blackspot. All the usual horrible things then happened in these places, drugs, drunkiness, domestic violence and families breaking up, gang warfare, murders etc.

Its dangerous to say about people "oh they are scroungers, don't want to work, Layabouts etc". I seen several areas of dublin go from proud places to slums when the work ran out, usually because some property developer seen the chance to make a quick buck.

Quite strange how most of the industry you mention has vanished since we joined the EU isn't it.

Not particularly. I can however see it failing. Between the financial crisis in various member states. The situation in France and various other countries where they appear unhappy with their lot. Would it be a good thing if it does fail probably not certainly in the short term.
If they had left it at the EEC I probably wouldn’t of voted out. What was wrong with it?

No. There's places were people don't work because there is no work. The towns and villages you mention. Where usually the industry was long established, unskilled, but paid well. very well. And then closed. Those people haven't chosen not to work. They have no work. That choice was stolen from them when the mill, the pit, the foundry, the yard, the dyeworks or whatever closed.

Then there's places were people don't work because they choose not to work. Where jobs are available but where there's a group of people often down the generations in the same family that have made a conscious choice not to work. Where benefits and shirking is a chosen lifestyle. Everyone of my age, sixty-one, knows the difference. And everyone in their neighbourhood knows who they are.

I think you will find that the reasons these industries are gone is because the goods can be made for a quarter of the price in China and other developing countries. Nothing to do with the EU. Pro
