Well, the Brexit wine rack saga is finally over.

The sad history is as follows:
23 Nov. Wine rack ordered online and paid for. Delivery in three weeks.
7 Jan. Email saying there were delays due to Brexit. Delivery in three weeks.
22 Feb. Email saying they can't deliver within the time limits. (No sxxt, Sherlock, I'd sort of worked that one out). Delivery in three weeks.
12 Mar. Email saying the wine rack is on its way, giving a tracking number.
18 Mar. DELIVERY! And it is the right one. And there was no extra fee/handling charge. And there was no damage that required it to be returned.
However, when I ordered the wine rack back in November, the total including delivery was:
| Subtotal | £74.96 GBP |
| Postage and packaging | £5.79 GBP |
| Tax | £16.15 GBP |
| Total | £96.90 GBP |
| Payment | £96.90 GBP |
I am lucky I decided to buy this when I did - going on the website today, the price is £119.95 (inc VAT) plus £6.95 delivery plus a
£20.00 "Export Fee"!
Not sure why the item itself has gone up from £89.95 to £119.95 (in itself an unjustifiable 33.33% increase - have they started paying more for raw materials or labour in the EU?) but slapping on a £20 export fee is ridiculous!
So if I wanted to buy exactly the same thing again today, I would pay a total of £146.90, representing a price increase of
51.6%.
And here is the object finally in situ. Now comes the pleasurable job of emptying it in order to keep refilling it.
