shooting trousers recommendations

Fjllraven Vida Pro. I wear them year round for shooting and walking plus a few times a week for working. Had em a good few years. Breathable and water resistant for light rain if treated with Greenland Wax. Don't get sweaty like Seeland or Harlika and dry out fast if wet. Very comfy, practical and hardwearing. Vida pros also have ankle adjustment and lace hooks so even in their standard 34 inside leg they're fine for 32 inseam shorties like me.

Fjallraven Vidda and in winter merino long johns underneath. I do wash them with nikwax waterproof which sheds some water, but they do dry very fast. If its winter and ****ing with rain / snow then I have a pair of Keela Munro salopettes that zip over the lot.

I have a pair of Jack Pyke water proof and a pair of Solognac trousers , both very good, very waterproof and both pairs cost less than a pair of Halika socks!

Another vote for fjallraven Vidda pro. I wear thermals under them in winter for warmth as they are really summer trousers.

Decathlon (Solognac) Inverness are my go to general trousers for all but the wettest or warmest days

I just were graghopper trousers, not overly expensive and come in a variety of thicknesses and styles. Use them for work and shooting.

Full disclosure. I'm married to a Swede. So a lot of my wardrobe has a strong Scandinavian influence. So I try to be fair and open minded and I have most brands. Not much of a sacrifice to be honest. They are all good in their own way. Swedteam, Laksen, Harkila / Seeland, Deerhunter, Saska, Fjallraven and Arxus and Chevalier. I think the G1000 fabric that Fjallraven created is great but my god it gets hot in the summer and although long lasting, but I can't bend over because it doesn't stretch. So I have been using Chevalier trousers over the past few years. It used to be the Arizona now this year the Avon. Good light weight trousers that stretch .Priced about the same as my teenage daughters latest jeans, so I see value, since I'll be wearing them long after she has followed fashion in a different direction.

I like Percussion trousers. The winter ones are very warn. I've got some unlined ones which are good for spring/autumn. I wear Craghoppers Kiwi trousers in the summer. Both great quality and value.

I’m favouring shooterking atm, I’ve got the Greenland for colder weather and the venatu for the milder days/nights. Currently looking for a pair to wear over the summer months as can’t fault either pair I have.

I understand that I am in a tiny - eccentric- minority but I like plus fours for winter and the wet. keeps the water from running down into my wellingtons, lots of room for easy movement and wearing a base layer underneath if needed. Even worse I like Nomad baggies and pullovers but not the coats so much. I'll go and sit in the corner don't mind me

Failed to mention if its really unpleasant or lots of sitting and crawling involved i wear treggins. Ventilation helps with keeping dry from the inside and mud doesn't often find a way past into the top of your welly when crawling. Green 5:11's during nice weather, the ones that will accommodated neoprene knee pads.

Ive recently bought some Shooterking venatu trousers, there brilliant well worth the money however are only a winter trouser double lined.
