T.T. Proctor.
.270Win, original Mauser 1909 action and a Timney trigger. Barrel is 24” Lothar Walter.
I do really like TT Proctor rifles. And the really good thing about the ones built military mauser actions with thumb cutouts on the side of the action is that US prohibits the import of such rifles. Meaning that there is much pressure on pricing at auctions etc.

Downside is that they are all right handed otherwise I would have got one.

Doesnt seem to have been gripped much, unless `ol Klenchy has his finest kid leather shootin` gloves on when handling her.
I make a point of resting it on something soft:

That is when it’s not sliding off the shoulder of my favourite Spring/Summer stalking shirt when opening a galvanised farm gate and clattering to the ground! Remarkably kept perfect zero.

A horrible feeling too, only yesterday morning my circa $6000 camera/lens outfit on a fully extended tripod decided to do a forward roll over the side of the gully I was looking into at deer........a real 'oh no'

The old semi custom P/H .35 cal against a sambar rub. Sadly the tree came down in a storm, its a Cherry Ballart aka 'wild cherry' a super favourite for sambar stags.

One for the haters…..! Custom 6mm Creed barrel made by Michael Rainback who also refinished the terrible Blaser stock to what it should have been when it came out of the factory. Shoots quarter MOA with 108Gr ELD.View attachment 254878
Very nice. A question if I may please regarding the leather inserts: Clearly they are not stitched to the timber so are they retained with glue or some Velcro-like arrangement?
Thanks

There is a lot of shine in that metal to let the Indians know that you are coming.....more cerakote?
I simply smear my face in bluebell root juice!

Speaking of which there should be a H&S warning issued to all Lowland deerstalkers who are in the woods at the moment and cannot avoid walking on bluebells as you can so easily find yourself looking at the canopy with rifle dashed against unforgiving deadfall!

Correct - stitching is just for show, the leather is glued on.
