She has died. Apologies to the original.
Not just over your neck of the woods it happened not too far away from me, a cow was shot, again just shooting at eyes, But a COW !!!Over here in Ireland, we don't really have those hunt sab groups. There are some but they're small time compared to what you UK guys have to deal with. Poachers are a bigger problem.
The other week, a donkey and two sheep were found shot. People just shooting at eyes in the dark
It is only a matter of time before a tragic incident or two happens, especially with all the use of night vision and thermal imaging kit now available at pretty cheap prices. And also with moderators.
Every so called deer culler, fox shooter etc has this kit. They are much much less visible than in the days of lamps and no moderators. They are driving around the countryside taking potshots at deer, sheep foxes or whatever. It takes but a moment to stop in gateway, a quiet crack with a rifle, a quick run and away with the deer and in reality little chance of getting caught. If you do here or see such activity, police are miles away and very little evidence to follow up on.
But before long it’s going to be somebodies dog, daughter or son that gets shot - probably by mistake, but a bullet is still going to kill whether or not it’s fired by mistake.
We see drones very often in the culling season, police everywhere, most antis are paid by crowd funding, there's a chap over milton keynes area that is offering free fuel and cars for antis. You must be joking, they are well equipped, they various groups where I am even have drones.
It's happened already. A poacher was shot when he lay down in a field trying to avoid being seen.It is only a matter of time before a tragic incident or two happens, especially with all the use of night vision and thermal imaging kit now available at pretty cheap prices. And also with moderators.

The poor guy who was out foxing with his thermal spotted the heat source and shot him thinking it was a fox.
Exactly both to blame , poacher shouldn't have been there and shooter should have identified his quarry. It's happened already. A poacher was shot when he lay down in a field trying to avoid being seen.
This is what I was afraid would happen to me. (although I was there legally)
But I mean.....
Poacher shouldn't have been there but the shooter should have really identified his target better. Can't just shoot at a heat signature either. That's as bad as shooting at eyes in the dark with a lamp.
With his organisational skills why hasn't BASC recruited him!?!?!?We see drones very often in the culling season, police everywhere, most antis are paid by crowd funding, there's a chap over milton keynes area that is offering free fuel and cars for antis.

I think this will become more common with the amount of rifles using thermal.
I hate to think how many sheep etc have already been shot by mistake.
It is noticeable how many guys are going back to night vision after using thermal .
I know 2 guys at the minute selling their Thermions as not happy and going back to NV.
Yep for identification, not happy at shooting at heat sources.Whats their reason for selling? I suppose thermal would be better for identifying an animals presence but not identifying the animal if you get me.

No foxing. Is this for deer stalking?
I've never had an issue with foxes. Pretty easy to tell its not a sheep through the spotter![]()
The very Wild West? What part of Ireland does Hook’N’Bullet operate in?
