For my own learning, what difference does a full length rail have over this design of two individual small ones? You surely only use the two bits connected to the scope anyway?

It looks like they have adopted the Tikka scope dovertails, that's perhaps benefical? Other wise just the additional ejector but the loss of the Controlled Round Feed.

An of course the option of Weaver/Picatinny mouts for those that like that system.

Might restrict the ability to use very short scopes, getting popular now for driven boar or more compact rifles.

Less space for rail mounted accessories such as a rail or mirage band.

Can't use one piece scope mounts.

Can't use some direct mount thermal/digital scopes.

Would need 20MOA inclined mounts (if so desired) which are more expensive compared to a rail or one piece mount with cant built in.

Sako S20 Owners, Recoil Moving Mounts Back?

Anyone with a S20 seen the same issue as below? Have tried two of the Sako S20 base mounts and the 2 piece tier one mounts. When tightening the bases/mounts to the action I'm pushing firmly forwards making sure the front of recoil lug is firmly against mating face of the picatinny slot but once...

I bet a Spuhr one-piece hunting mount would work very nicely. Besides, I wouldn’t clamp a massive PMII to one of these anyway.

So Picatinny to Picatinny, the more bits in a mounting system the more likley failure.

Wouldn't a set of Burris ring and Pos-align rings be easier?

making sure the mag doent get accidently relesed and lost , i have know a couple og guys that managed that ! though i still very rarely bother , i have more than one and mags are freely availble from mags uk , i carry two anyhow .
I have known folks lock it and loose the key but not ever heard of a fault with the lock, they dropped it pretty fast after they introduced this one of mine doesnt have it the other does , got it when the 75 was newly launched and never had an issue . only used it once or twice and cant actually work out how you get it to lock without using a key .
I did know a guy who locked his then lost his key , thats dumb ! i have the code to order another key taped to the inside of the safe

I had repeated issues with the bolt lock failing and hence why I discovered it was a niche but known issue on some units. my second and third 75s came with standard bolt affairs.

ok interested to learn more of what actually occurred and how it started ? Must say i actually used it on on one trip , then reverted to my old way for ever more ( locking the case and locking the case to an impoval object and keeping the bolt on my person ) . the only problem i have known about was a chap who locked the gun and then lost his key , went back to sako and he got it back a lot lighter in his wallet

Eh, the tacti-cool market is pretty well-served already; I'm OK with keeping a few classic-looking rifles in production without big honking rails and all sorts of Lego-esque protrusions for accessories.

Not having had a hands-on with these new rifles yet and only having seen the pics on the website, I must say that the 90 Hunter walnut is an extremely handsome piece of kit. Clean, sleek lines without any unnecessary embellishments.
