Best/most accurate .22 rimfire?

money no object , RIM-X or VUDOO action top level barrel and drop it in a MDT stock or have it bedded in a nice mcmillan or equivalent.

i have a rim-x in an MDT and frankly it's astounding with SK long range match ammo

point to note on the rim-x is it will only feed from the mag you can't single feed , i have no experience of the vudoo in this respect

Evening all,

So what's the best .22 or most accurate. 22 rimfire bolt action rifle that you can buy? Money's no obligation. Mainly going to be used for lamping/NV work on rabbits with some pigeon/crows through the day. I've currently got a anshutz 14 something but it's getting old and needs a dew repairs... what would you replace it with or would you buy again? Also what ammo would you pair with it?

Thanks for any suggestions, cheers

Why trade in an Anschütz? Get it sorted; it'll see you out.

I currently am getting it sorted but soon be a completely new rifle and bits are getting rare/expensive for it 🤦‍♂️

Just wanted to see what everyone's opinion was as eventually I'll have to change it, I'll go with the majority.

Appreciate all the suggestions though folks!

You could spend as much as you like on a match rifle that will easily outshoot a hunting rifle, but throw varmint ammo through it and it would be akin to sticking supermarket unleaded into a Formula 1 car.
The results would only ever be as good as the ammo you put through it, and match ammo isn’t designed for humane kills on various species.

Im in the same boat. Sadly my old girl has stopped ejecting and no one seems to know how to fix it.
A friend had one with the same issue.
On studying it I noticed it relied heavily on a strong extractor spring to overcome the lack of angled ejection via the square ejector.
The ejector is fixed at the bottom of the receiver. Due to it being square it pops the case from the extractors forward instead of encouraging the case to spin out.
I tried to encourage him to remove the ejector and file some rake on it to act more one the left side of the case. That would encourage it to spin left.
He wouldn't do it so we learnt nothing but I would of give it a shot.
Very good rifles.

If you're hunting and it will get filthy why not just get a Tikka? Mine shoots rabbits through the head with my Zulus atop. Now, ammo? That's a different story, luckily I've recently found Norma.

Just be careful what you wish for my old bsa super sport five was deemed a bit old and to get a new rifle. Since then nothing has matched the accuracy of that old gun with whatever ammo was run through it
I can remember my old Sportsman Five was a brilliant little 22. very accurate with aperture sights before scopes became available. A basic, straightforward, uncomplicated and accurate rifle.

I tried a magtec semi automatic the mag jams up also with a crap scope. A mate bought it without advise. It was all down to price it was terrible to use. I will be putting another scope on it for him. Will see if we can sort it. The CZ where ammo fussy eley and rws were great cci well say no more
5 of us where shooting on a play evening and bbq. Four cz 452 and one magtec 6.5x55 308 243 223. Targets out from 25 yds . hardox gongs and deer target at 135 and 150 yds

Id say most 22rf can be more than accurate enough its just a question of finding the ammo it likes best.

I bought my Annie 2nd hand and the very knowledgeable gent selling ( @Cottis ) informed me it liked rws best so that's what it's had ever since, but I hear on grapevine rws are having some supply issues??

Gent hahaha
