Evening all,

So what's the best .22 or most accurate. 22 rimfire bolt action rifle that you can buy? Money's no obligation. Mainly going to be used for lamping/NV work on rabbits with some pigeon/crows through the day. I've currently got a anshutz 14 something but it's getting old and needs a dew repairs... what would you replace it with or would you buy again? Also what ammo would you pair with it?

Thanks for any suggestions, cheers

What ever you do once you find it dont do what i did and clean it LOL its taken about 300 shots to get back to MO-Squirrel at 50 yards.

I was bored one evening and stripped my old Annie 1451, it was unbelievably carp after and it stayed in the cabinet for 3 years.

These two are a bit off the hunting line but have a look at Voodoo and Rim-X brand rifles. You said money was no object, so I have spent all of it for you with either of these! They are built to be used in PR22 and NRL22 competitions.
On a more affordable level the Lithgow LA101 in .22lr is rather good in my experience.

I’ve had a couple over the years, I have an anschutz. My dad has a 1451 and I would have that over mine any day.
They are brilliant, last ages and are just in a different league compared to cz.
If you want something different Sako old finfire are good

Okay, you asked...

Annie ATX 1727F, and she wasn't cheap. But she's the most accurate 22 I've ever had....stupidly accurate. I was flicking steel silhouette pikas off the rail stands at 315yds yesterday afternoon, with ease...(13.2mils elevation and 1.2mil windage).

Anschutz does have a hunting version, at slightly lower price.

That's lovely. Curious as to why you work in mils and yards?

Why not?

Yards is distance, mils are angular. The two measurements are stand apart of each other. Being from the US he would be familiar with yards I'd expect, and the Marine part of his moniker suggests he is no stranger to mils.

I would expect that a large part of it is that most of the good new gear is FFP, and mil based.

If you can find one, a Mauser 201. I sold mine as I already have a CZ 452 and I’m still kicking myself years later.
The CZ gives me 1/2” groups with Eley subs, but the Mauser was in a different league and was beautifully finished.

The most accurate 22s will probably be the voodoo. Rim x and top of the range anschutz rifles. These rifles perform best with top of the range match ammo.
I don't see the point in buying something like this for hunting. A Tikka T1x or CZ or anschutz hunting rifle will do all you need
