I use Rovince Flexline Trousers, socks and Bamboo Polo Shirt which are excellent. I find the Ergoline Trousers too tight in the crotch area and have split the crotch jumping streams etc.

For all my other clothes I use the Bushwear No Tick Was In. BushWear NO Tick Wash in Repellent 50ml

So far I have never had a tick on me in quite a few years of stalking.

I use this stuff as a spray on solution Paul:

It works on ticks, just not for as long as it works on midges, about 4 hours per applicaton, plus you can buy it in big bottles for not a lot of money. It is the same active ingredient as in Smidge and many other insect repellents but there's no added perfume or anything like that. As far as I know it is simply icaridin (this goes under about 5 different names depending on product) in water with some aloe vera. The icaridin is safe on kids and testing says it is as effective as DEET according to the Americans plus it doesn't melt plastic or anything like that so none of the problems of DEET.

The biggest single step I took to stop ticks was wearing gaiters so if you don't do that then it is a worthwhile step.

I did the following video on how I use icaridin for midges but the same stuff applies to midges:

Yup, just bought a replacement bottle. It works.

Lifesystems EX4+ for clothes. Icardin for skin. Seemed to work as my mate was getting plagued but i was OK.
+1 I spray my trouser bottoms, cuffs etc. Used it for three seasons now and seems more effective than others I have tried

If you know someone going to MAGA land see if they’ll bring one of these back for you - $10 or thereabouts.

Works really well, I get through about one a year for all my gear x2 sprayings.

Just looking at hedgewitch icaridin - it's only £19.50 inc P&P for a PINT! That's great value - tempted at that price to use it on my sheep too!

Hedgewitch supply "stuff" for horses and initially it was intended for spraying to keep the flies off the horses. It is just Icaridin, water, and aloe vera so there's nothing in it to stop humans using it. Being fair to the company some time after I made the (now removed as I updated it) first video about it they did offer to send some to me free of charge as they had observed that they were selling large amounts and, using their analytics I guess, they tracked it back to me :-) I was very grateful for the offer, of course, but declined to avoid any suggestion that I was in some way connected with the company

I've used this from Aldi for years Paul.
Liberal spray on trousers/boots and sleeves.
Touch wood so far so good 👍

Unfortunately we are being warned more and more about other diseases from ticks. We have increasing numbers of TBE, tularemia and alpha-gal syndrome all moving north.
I will probably get vaccinated for the TBE but will have to be sure to use something with deet or Icaridin in the future.

as far as I know Icaridin & Picaridin are not on pair with Deet based repellents. They acts often for longer time (up to 7/8 hours instead 5/6) but are a tad less effective. although some recent test seems stating that the best anti-tiks deet's concentration is around 30% not more (loosing affectivness @ 50). plastic destroing for Deet apart the impact on human wealth is still under investigation. I myself use both deet on legs amd picariding on arms neck & face..and untill now had been lucky

Thanks for info. I did just read a study that said 20% icaridin was as effective as Deet 20% but deet can be found up to 40%
I am looking to spray it on my clothing so I'm going more towards icaridin.

I think spraying clothes with permetrin is way effective than wasting repellents on tissues. Permetrin else if 2% diluted destroys insect's neural system and rend ticks kike zombies I found one on myself nearly dead and not able biting. And permethrin lats some.
weeks 3 or 4 on clothes whilst is neutralized from sweep. a good compound is french Nobite studied for tissues. Or you van look at pre impregnated gaiter's like us Lyme'z that acts like a real traps for tiks. my 2 cents
