Arken v2 vs alpex lite

I’m considering getting a .22lr set up for bunny bashing - night and day.
Im considering these two units, what’s better out of the two?
I already have it torch etc as I use the alpex 4k on my foxing rifle

The Alpex Lite is an Airgun Scope..
The Zulus is a better night vision scope at longer range, you would be better comparing to it's big brother the Alpex 4K original .. that F1.2 lens can whoop some ass at long range, poor atmospherics , etc..
Ahh fair enough! I already have the alpex 4k lrf for foxing, looking for something on the rimmy, might try that v2!

Can anyone tell me if the 4K Lite can be installed on a .308 centerfire caliber? I read that it was designed for air rifles and rimfire calibers.

Just started to use my Alpex 4k on the rimfire.
Trundling around in the jeep i didn't find the size & operation of the scope a problem.
I had a Pard 088 lrf a few years ago & I hated it,used it 6 times & sold it on here for a massive loss.
I had similar reservations about the Alpex but after the 1st night out with it they soon disappeared.
I won't use it for day work on the rimfire, I'll be switching back to a Simmons WTC as I have Picatinny rail on the Cz.

yes , and i have one on a .308
This “airgun scope” definition puzzles me - especially if it can endure a .308 recoil. Much is made of the short eye relief and the risk of injury from heavier chamberings but surely just holding your head back the required distance will eliminate this (with a possible reduction in sight picture) but is this really such a problem or can the simple compromise of eye relief over sight picture not make it a decent (and inexpensive) proposition for centrefire rifles?

they are recoil rated to the same as the big alpex 4k, and have 45mm eye relief what's fine , like you say just mount it 10mm further forward.

the benefit of having such a small , light and compact scope well out weight any cons , I can't say there is any cons with that scope on that rifle tbh

A mate was raving on about the Alpex Lite and how they're better than the Arken or DNT Zulus....... After 2 weeks he sold the Arken Lite and now is the very chuffed owner of the Zulus V2.
I have the original Arken Zulus on 2 air rifles, FAC and Sub12 and the DNT Thermnight 635r on my 7mm-08.

For me, it's the DNT V2 all day long.

Interesting thank you - and dare I say it a simple fix for what looks like a very good sight….

What I meant was whether it could physically withstand the recoil of a large caliber in terms of electronics and structure, the ocular relief can be worked on, this is because the Hik specifies compressed air and rimfire.

they are rated the same as its bigger brother ! so no problem with recoil . so if you want to reduce the weight its a positive . i have one on my 6.5 x 47L

How far can you see and shoot at night with the lite? Hoping to find out from someone who has used it in the field

Used mine to 160 on my .222 with a Blade Dark engine. Worked fine. Compared to my old A50, image not vastly different.....smaller......but useable.

Swapping across sub12 air, FAC Air, LR, and .222.

Only thing I wonder is what the smaller sensor will be like on a cold, misty wet January night......as opposed to clear, warm still July nights......at least I'll have an excuse to pack up and go home rather than just because it's cold and wet 😊.

Happy with it as an alternative at the moment though.

The first video below, is promoting it as for air rifles......but then shows imges out past 100 and more.

Bear in mind, video isn't as good as what you see on the screen. And yes it's daytime.......but illustrates what you can do with a decent light source at night....footage starts around 6.45.

......and another advert for it showing its last light capabilities.......

Personally, I think its 'only for airguns' is a marketing line that Hik are pushing to make sure they aren't left with loads of the bigger versions on the shelves and need to heavily discount.....
