Hawke Carbon Fiber Pro Bipod 8"-11" Smooth
The lightweight Hawke Carbon Fiber Pro Bipod 8"-11" features smooth legs, swivel and tilt adjustment, quick-release mount, and dual foot options.www.blackwoodoutdoors.co.uk
This fits to a picatinny rail, so you would need one on the underside of the gun stock.Wil the hawke attach to sling stud on my stock?
Or do I need to add a mount
You could use the NorneHunt Picatinny, it has a sling stud on the rear of the picatinny, you would have to drill into the stock with one of the provided screws with the picatinny. I have a synthetic T3X stock and it worked well.Wil the hawke attach to sling stud on my stock?

If you have a play with the nut on it, you can probably adjust it to suit a bit better. I spent around half hour playing with it and got it pretty much bang on. Happily use mine out to a good range although whatever I stalk with is whatever I use for load development/plinking and the rest of itI have used a NorneHunt bipod and it is light and can be attached and removed quickly. That being said it does have a small amount of play in the bipod when mounted due to the quick release and not being able to choose how tight you want it to lock onto the picatinny, the amount of play is not noticed so I am not to worried about it. I have a TierOne bipod as well that has the quick release on it and that fits the picatinny much better as you can set how tight it locks on but it is a bit more heavy. For stalking I use the NorneHunt and the Range I use the TierOne
Thanks, I will give that a go.If you have a play with the nut on it, you can probably adjust it to suit a bit better. I spent around half hour playing with it and got it pretty much bang on. Spartan or MTNGear out of New Zealand very good lightweight bipods.Hi All,
Looking for something a little lighter than my harris bipod for stalking.
What are people using/happy with?
Cheers.
Have you seen the NorneHunt Sticks? - they go down to sitting and kneelingI really think Spartan are missing a trick not doing a 13.5-27” bipod similar to the Harris but they’re into the Spartan springbok territory at that point and it’s not the same thing.
9-13” Harris in spring. 13.5-27” for summer or heather ect. They just work. I do take the quad sticks if the time isn’t available.
