I tore my gastrocnemius muscle in my leg yesterday while trying to rescue a old boy who had fallen into the marina. Went to the doctors today and was told I should have six weeks off as its a bad tear not a happy bunny. There is no way I can have six weeks off as I dont get sick pay well pi#### off

Bad news on the off work front!, but you did the right thing didn't you!.......... you would have a hard time thinking about any family if you had not bothered!

Definitely finnbear there was no way I would walk away found out today the chap is ok just a dislocated nee but ok apart from that. It was supriseing how many people it took to pull him out soaking wet. He was lucky as he did not have a life jacket on he sliped off the side of his boat.

good n you doing the right thing - my rule is to do what you would like others to do for you in a similar situation. Really sorry to hear of the injury though.

Regards

Matthew

maybe it'll turn out he's a wealthy man and leave it all to you as a thank you for trying to save his life:shock:

Sorry to hear you've ended up with an injury yourself but well done you for saving the chap, we could do with more people like you. :tiphat:

What a bummer, and I was going stalking this weekend, thought you was coming as well, never mind i'll have a ring around and see if there's anyone else available :stir:

From a lot of experience training with power lifters, accupuncture and a TENS unit will help it heal a lot faster. :thumb:
