Nearly got through

I was with you until I purchased a 6mm PPC that came with a limited supply of the previous Owner's brass. Couldn't get meaningful neck tension (using several increments of bushing) until Stalker62 kindly annealed them on his funky AMP machine and supplied the code for future treatments.

Dare I ask (best read in a whisper…) did you crimp?
My reloading sanctuary bench is my test bed for whether a round is properly “held” - a small hole in the side accommodates everything from .224 upwards incl. lead-tipped. If a round survives my geriatric form pushing it without reducing in size then it is good to go - simples. If the godfather of reloading (Dr Richard Lee) recommends crimping then that is good enough for me.
Other options are of course available…..

A gentleman only crimps one thing, it is done in private & is not mentioned in polite circles!

I have only crimped 22 Hornet due to my chosen shallow seating depth. Conventional neck tensioning c/o a sizing die simply can't impart sufficient grip on such a small area of bullet heel.
