Im looking to replace the tyres on my dmax im looking for something fairly capable off road but also can handle some motorway milage. Ive been looking along the lines of comforser cf1100 or maybe falken mt not really looking to stretch to BFG money what are people using and rating?

Had the Falkens on my kia sportage very good but around here now no stockists.
Went Bfg ,noisy ish on road but totally fine off road .
Now on At3's as well ,many miles completed on/ off rd good all-round imho
Price wise 2 years ago 120 a corner.

I’m currently running Goodyear Wrangler on the discovery 4: reasonably chunky and still fine on the motorways. Like most off road tyres I lost about 5mpg. They were also cheap, £600 for 4 19” wheels including fitting and alignment.

I use Maxus Worm Drive for the wet part of the year on a set of steel rims I brought, the reason behind this I can see no point in dragging off good tread on tarmac for 6-8 months in the drier part of the year.
It takes me about 5 mins a corner which includes a check of hubs, a few comments to why? well we all have winter wet coats/kit which we don't wear in the summer lol Also the summer tires can be brought much cheaper with plenty of thread.
A friend was quoted £800 for his Hilux  I picked up x2 road tires with 8mm for 115.00 quid (no repairs)

Toyo open country III A/T on the Vcross... second set, wear well, minimal noise. Run up to Scotland monthly. Easily on par with the general grabbers I used to run, but without the price tag associated with those pretty white letters 😂😂

A pal has the Comforser on his Hilux and they seem decent for the money, 135ish a corner from memory!

I have been eyeing those Toyo as a replacement for my Michelin Latitude Cross which are silly money now. The Michelins are great tyres by the way, but knocking on the door of £190 where the Toyo are £125.

I had the Toyo AT and liked them for their general performance on and off road they really didn’t last at all - sub 20k miles and they were done.

Preciously had Cooper AT3 and really liked them on and off road and they lasted outrageously long

I've just gone Yokohama Geolander GO15 on a Ford Ranger, AT but not wildly off road. I looked at more radical grips which look great but I then had a word with myself and realised I'd be on gravel and rough roads 5-10% max and proper off-road a fraction of that. Will do an ok job on the bad stuff, hopefully goo on wet and muddy according to the reviews but more importantly for me has good wet road braking compared to the competition and that's where I'm most likely to stack it....

I have just put Geolander ATs on the rear of my Vitara. Have had same on front for several years.
When I was having them fitted I saw a set of Wildpeaks and they looked a very good tyre. Fitter said they were fitting a lot.
Recently lots of You tube feeds coming up and appears the Wildpeaks are very poular in US. If I had actually seen a set prior to ordering my Geolanders I think I would have chosen them.

I really rate the yokohama geolander. Couple of months ago I was sat out for a fox at the request of the farmer and said to him, because it's absolutely ****ing down, I'll sit out the back of the freelander but I'll be driving it up where I need. The track up is used by quads + buggies. It's steep, boggy and massively off camber. It climbed it absolutely no issues.

The geolander is brilliant across pretty much everything with the exception to thick, claggy mud but even then, unless you're somewhere you really shouldn't be, you will be fine 👌

I've since bought a jimny, lifted it, fitted locked diffs and stupid mud tyres so now its brilliant in mud but terrible everywhere else 😂
