CL55 night licence - post-season reflections

Having recently applied to renew my CL55 night licence I wondered how others had fared after the first season? The obligations to report outings etc aren't too onerous, so I'm reasonably happy to have been granted one. For me, I have one parcel of land on a permission where a night licence is especially useful and since there is a rather active resident at the foot of the field, I am happy to be fully above board ;).

Mine arrived after the flow season ended so hadn’t used it. Thanks for the reminder. Now need to re register land I gather

Not a dig at either of you in the slightest, but I would be interested to know what in particular sets you against it.
ive no strong feelings either way on the night licence , but as regards courses the vast majority of recreational stalkers are cert collectors who actually shoot very few deer , if they put half the effort into culling deer as they do collecting bits of paper the deer problem would be sorted

Shooting them in the dark or at night, although within the last hour will be almost dark, I can confidently shoot with my Schmidt bender 10 minutes before last night so I can’t see the point!

He wants the deer managed not murdered simple as that

So you object to shooting deer at night on principle? If so, fair enough. For me, I have a parcel of land on one of my permissions where I would struggle to manage the fallow without night shooting. There’s too little cover and too many people to stalk them effectively during the day.
