  1. Lab radar external mic

I have an external mic for Labradar. Works for everything, including suppressed subsonic 22lr. Not used that particular one in your post though. Note that Garmin has brought out a new radar chrono which going by reports is better than Labradar, by a long way.
  2. Old convictions at renewal time.

The guidance is that you don't need to list traffic offences which are dealt with by a fixed penalty notice. So not declaring speeding convictions which you didn't go to court for is ok. As always, this is my understanding and I'm not an expert.
  3. FAC application question

Your girlfriend definitely sounds like a keeper.
  4. Posting non-ticket moderators

Air rifle moderators which could go on a Section 1 firearm, but won’t go on a Sectiom 1 firearm, ie they will go on a non-FAC air rifle: Can they be posted? Want to buy one, but RFD wants me to come in and pick it up in person, with ID, even though it’s off-ticket. Wondering if it’s legal for...
  5. Is an FAC worth it ?

You need to disclose any mental health issues. You also need to submit a GP's report (this applies to everyone, not just those who have self-declared mental health issues). Having had depression, mental health or similar problems does not alone mean you will be rejected.
  6. Is an FAC worth it ?

If firearms are your interest, then satisfying the requirements to get and maintain a FAC is very, very easy. Don't think too much.
  7. 22 subsonic ballistic data

Chronographs are quite accurate. Manufacturers print the G1 ballistic coefficient on the box (or datasheet). As one of the other posters noted, G1 is not that accurate around the transsonic region. Guess what speed a 22lr round comes out of your barrel..... it comes out in the transsonic region...
  8. 22 subsonic ballistic data

Your firing solution depends on the ballistic coefficient. I am not convinced at all that the BC printed on the box of ammo or the manufactures data sheet is accurate at for 22LR. I'd say just pick some 22 subsonic ammo out of the database, chronograph it out of your rifle, measure your...
  9. Open FAC advice

Your force may well differ. Your FEO may also differ. My experience is I started off target shooting. I applied for lawful quarry (ie shooting on land) within my first certificate at about the 3 year mark. I had a paid stalking booking to support this request. It came back with closed...
  10. Motorcycle

Nothing in the Firearms Act about it, that is true. But it's likely that if you walked down Oxford Street or any city area with an uncovered rifle or shotgun, you would give alarm to many people and be committing a public order offence. Just adding context to the legal position, obv you have...
  11. 30-06 Too powerful for UK

I think I have watched too many of his videos. The link showed up as a screen still of just his abdomen, no head, nothing else. Just an abdomen, a pair of trousers and an anorak. I instantly knew it was Paul Harrell before I even clicked on the link and saw his face.
  12. Sound moderators

It’s on ticket when it’s attached to a firearm? Or you need it in your ticket even if it is hanging off your neck?
  13. 1 MOA at 1,000 yards

The video in OP is not a 1 MoA group at 1000 yards. This is not particularly difficult provided you are allowed a few rounds to get onto it and the wind is moderately constant. It is a first round impact on a 1 MoA target at 1000 yards. This is always more difficult. You would need to take into...
  14. Storing guns at a different address

What physical address was on their FAC if they were living abroad?
  15. Safe safe?

Anyway OP, you asked for reassurance. Sorry, nope - it only looks big enough to hold about 3 guns. Where do you plan to put the other 7 in a few years time?
