Recommended Gunsafes

Good morning Adders,
I’ve got a mate looking for a gun safe and we were going to go and have a look at this weeks Southams Auction offerings!

What make are your safes? (It might be staring me in the face! 🤣but I couldn’t see it)

If you could send(WhatsApp ) me some photos I’d appreciate that… I’ll pm you my number

I look forward to hearing from you,

Best wishes,
Fizz

The cheapest one which ticks the boxs for security purposes.

If someone wants your guns, a safe won't be stopping them. The majority are only a couple mm thick steel anyway so a grinder will have full access in about 30 seconds.

I see no point in spending a fortune on a safe, as long as it fits the size spec that is required and meets saftey requirements then thats good enough for me

What they say ☝️

In fact, you don't actually have to have a "safe" at all. It's not a legal requirement. There are other ways to satisfy the requirement to keep your firearms secure.

Afternoon All,

Thanks to a very good and kind member on here I've picked up an external ammo cabinet already, waiting to get new gaffe next month and then will pick up nice sized deep gun safe from him that is perfecto for my needs.

all thanks for your advice and assistance 👍

really nice, good and decent folk on this forum for sure 🙏

My take on safes. Get one that has the opening-unlocking handle and mechanism separate from the key. If not soon or later the key under the effort of opening the door after unlocking will fail.
For thiefs rely on a well guarded home: alarm, security, blinded doors and windows will help. Mind that once they are in there is no chance they won't force the best safe you can afford.
I also glued one advice on the safe door:
"explosives inside". so if cutting it with a grind they knows may a encounter the great kaboom! just psicologic war

Have a very good think about the types of rifles and their scopes you intend to use.

Target scopes with big turrets on either side take up a lot of room.

That’s something like a 15 gun safe. Std z6i on the left needs to be angled sideways and the 2 on the right have IR illuminators so I had to make a wooden bracket to get them far enough away from the back wall.
