I've got a 1in9 my go to everyday bullet is a 60g vmax then for special occasions the 69tmk comes for an outing

What length of barrel have you got?

Can the brass be fire formed? Have a few hundred laupa 22 250 would hate to see wasted

1 in 8 twist. Ai is just the standard case fire formed. But you will need ai dies. If your goinv to rebarrel, then why the hell not.

Laupa should be ok. Depending on the condition of the cases. How many firings they have had.

Most of its new, only keep about 50 in use at a time till they are scrap

Southern Ireland would be harder but still possible

Built numerous 22-250 and owned an improved version for several years

If you are going to use 75 g class bullets - you need an 8 twist

Is there merit in the improved version

Better case life - yes
Accuracy improvement - no different to standard case
Velocity Improvement - about 100-150 fps over standard, which isn’t noticeable at realistic fox killing distances

If you want a bespoke re barrel then that can be done relatively easily

A replacement nee rifle will be slightly more cost and finding something with an 8 twist in 22-250 May be difficult

id stick with a standard barrell, ai i tried was no better than a standard 22.250 it wasnt more accurate, i didnt shoot foxes any further with it in fact it was a pain in the ar*e and yes ronins your man bs

Was going to go with a faster twist, read conflicting info on if its any advantage on a .22-250 so was going to give it a try and find out for myself, thinking 1:9 for 69-75 gr bullets,

I would go for a .243W.

26 inch barrel make the best use of all that powder in the case

I good fries of mine just had his 22-250 T3 re-barrelled by Steve, fantastic workmanship and accuracy as always!

I have also have a custom build from him in January and I’m over the moon with it!
