Go 22-250ai dogs bollocksHave a .22-250 on the edge of being shot out, T3 action, who is the go to gunsmith for barrels these days? Thanks
What are the advantages?Go 22-250ai dogs bollocks
What twist rate for the 75 amax?Faster speed, longer life for the cases. Use 75grain amax. And most importantly. Looks sexy.
Can the brass be fire formed? Have a few hundred laupa 22 250 would hate to see wasted
1 in 8 twist. Ai is just the standard case fire formed. But you will need ai dies. If your goinv to rebarrel, then why the hell not. What twist rate for the 75 amax?
Also depending on cost. Might be better with a new t3Go 22-250ai dogs bollocks
Most of its new, only keep about 50 in use at a time till they are scrapLaupa should be ok. Depending on the condition of the cases. How many firings they have had.
Typical sales manShipping to NI is easy no different to the UK
Southern Ireland would be harder but still possible
Built numerous 22-250 and owned an improved version for several years
If you are going to use 75 g class bullets - you need an 8 twist
Is there merit in the improved version
Better case life - yes
Accuracy improvement - no different to standard case
Velocity Improvement - about 100-150 fps over standard, which isn’t noticeable at realistic fox killing distances
If you want a bespoke re barrel then that can be done relatively easily
A replacement nee rifle will be slightly more cost and finding something with an 8 twist in 22-250 May be difficult
If it were me, I would replace the barrel - but I would say that![]()
I would go for a .243W.Was going to go with a faster twist, read conflicting info on if its any advantage on a .22-250 so was going to give it a try and find out for myself, thinking 1:9 for 69-75 gr bullets,
26 inch barrel make the best use of all that powder in the caseWhat length of barrel have you got?
I good fries of mine just had his 22-250 T3 re-barrelled by Steve, fantastic workmanship and accuracy as always!Don't see much metion of him on here, maybe I'm just missing it
