22LR subsonic and the lead ban

Apologies if this has been done to death, I did a quick search but really want a concise answer.
Is the 22LR subsonic and current rimfire rifles for vermin control just about obsolete with the proposed ban on lead ammo?
I just put in a variation and now I am having second thoughts,
Thanks

As night owl, its currently still consultation and waiting on final "recommendations" from the HSE.

Then I believe needs to be passed into law.

The last draft I believe was purely focused on lead shot, not air gun pellets/rifle ammo. But its been a while since I read it.

Do worry about PSG though if the ban lead shot... I don't see anyone wanting to shoot the steel knockdowns with steel...

That will simply cheer them on, Police hate practical shotgun, or as referred to by FAO ‘terrorist training camps’

I've got a 22 mag on order - this is the future, it works beautifully with non-lead

Thanks for all the info, I was looking for the 22 for subsonic use only. Suppose it’s just a suck it and see situation same as all other lead ammo.
Not banned yet but who knows what the powers that be will do in the future.

I use norma segmented copper in one 22 rimmy and RWS lead in the other, the copper I use where I have to but I will use lead until I am told to stop and will use every lead round up I have

The Norma copper shoots well I trialed some copper ammo and the pic below is from the left CCI lead Middle Norma HP copper RHS Norma segmented copper after a re zero it shoots .50 so I use the CCI or RWS for lead and the Norma segmented copper the rifle is a 22 blaser @ 50 yds

Now I have shot both rounds for a while now and have no concerns on accuracy or effectiveness on quarry
Happy to use either oneIMG_5430.webpIMG_5430.webp

I recently binned all my NRA Journals and while skipping through them was surprised by the prevalence of practical shotgun photographs. Guess it’s because the sport lends itself to action-packed arresting imagery.

Its not even that…. NRA outsources journal to a publishing company (Blaze?) who go for jazzy imagery, tainting the popular disciplines, quite to the disgust of Bisley regulars.

Deer stalking trains snipers too, so lets not propagate prejudice.
One of the chaps who used to come beating had been an underkeeper on the same estate before being called up for WWII, He became a sniper! He was at Monte Casino, where he staked out the toilets used by the other side's officers. He went back decades later:- "And you know, them women remembered me!"
