Morning I am about to get my licence back from firearms depot. I’ve had a .260 Rem added what weight ammo are you using on fallow/ fox. I home load as well
Thanks Dave

i used the 140 amax in my 260 before i rebarrelled to creedmoor , it killed everything deer wise and a few foxes (i no longer bother driving round all night after foxes)

I’ve owned a number of 260 chambered rifles , a pair of 260 chambered hand rifles and even a pair of AR-10’s chambered for the 260 . It’s safe to say I truely like the cartridge and of course I handload everything I shoot . Just about any deer relatable bullet from 100-130 grains I’ve killed deer with in the 260 , well with the exception of the Berger 130 VLD Hunting Match bullet and I may try it sometime just for the heck of it . The cartridge would be fine with 140 grainers I’ve just never bothered to use them other than on paper . Funny because I’ve used 140’s in the 6.5x55 and 6.5x54MS with excellent results .

I’ve used 130 Sierra Tipped Game King to great effect in the .260 Rem. With a 1:8 twist you can use anything from 100 - 140 grain range, copper probably up to 124 grains or thereabouts.

Hornady 123 SST, 129 Interlock, 140 Amax
Norma 156 Oryx, 130 Diamond Line VLD
Nosler 120 Ballistic tip
Lapua Scenar 139

They all seemed to work just fine.
