Be aware that a brake will certainly reduce the recoil but it will simultaneously increase the noise. I have a first year Marlin Guide Gun with the factory ported barrel. It pretty mild in the recoil department, but it’s deafening in the noise department. Just don’t be surprised how loud it will be if you put a brake on it.
