I went out again this morning, after heavy rain during the preceding 36hrs.
It was very wet and so hard to stalk quietly with the mud sucking at my heels!
The wind had also changed, necessitating a challenging approach to suitable hunting ground (got a real jolt crawling under an electric fence!)
Lots of deer around and eventually got one in a shootable position after a crawl to within 35yds.
Unfortunately, the ground was no drier there!
Dragged the carcass out for the gralloch and then carried it out to a road (too wet to risk the Mule).
45-70 getting it done.

Not going to lie if I could only have 1 it would be the tactical looking one with a mod and scope on it if I could have two then one tactical one old school
