Alternative(s) to the Lee Auto Bench Primer

Not surprising really for something that’s got the main working parts made from brittle plastic… after priming less than 150 cases the large rifle unit has broken & is beyond repair.

Rather than buy a replacement part which will doubtless break as well, anyone got any suggestions for a bench mounted primer that can be used by someone who only has the use of one hand?

TIA

I don't shoot precision just load for the field; so after getting frustrated with Lee and Lyman stuff that wouldn't seat primers effectively, I looked around for something that was reliable and robust.

I bought a Frankford Arsenal hand primer from Spud. You can alter the depth of the primer too. Primer has all the internals made from steel, and definitely a better alternative.

Guess there are better ones out there - but this works for me.

Thanks gents, should have made it clearer, the user only has use of one hand so is looking for a bench primer as an alternative to the Lee one that’s broken not a handheld one.

@David Barker if you come across your old one in the cupboard & fancy selling it please drop me a pm, cheers.

I'm looking at this

One of my buddies has this and just about all their line including the annealer.
He says it is very simple to setup and use.
I’ve the annealer and their trimmers, very well made easily adjustable and the best I’ve tried (only the 3rd different method but simple and repeatable

I’ve only put 700 through my Lee Auto Benchrest, but did buy it 2nd hand, the small set has only about 400 through it and is going strong, I’m going to buy a replacement set and see how that goes before considering moving on
