Best Gaiters?

Can anyone recommend comfortable gaiters that won’t leak after a couple of years? I’m fed up with gaiters that leak around the ankle after a few outings.

Munro gaiters, from Monarch on here.

I have two pairs of Gaitors that I am no longer in a position to use.
One is made/called Highlander and the other are by Jagersport, they are both canvas.
Highlander are a thinner canvas than the Jagersport.
You can have either for £25 posted or both for £40 posted.

If you’re really out in bad weather and your leather boots will fit the rand yeti gaiters by Berghaus are hard to beat.

The improvement in waterproof trousers in recent years has meant that gaiters are used a lot less these days. Better (and higher) boots have also contributed. But they can be useful especially when going through thick vegetation and gorse, protecting your Härkila Costalot trousers and Meindle Brokethebank boots. Indeed, you can buy some Härkila gaiters for around the £60 mark. I bought some Seeland ones for not more than half that which seem fine to me, but they only get occasional use. I suppose your ankles and lower legs don't really sweat a great deal, so having breathable gaiters isn't really necessary and I'd say the wax variety would work pretty well and be pretty robust.

Its also worth thinking of the application, the neoprene ones don't fair well in bramble and the more "plasticky" ones are a bit noisy negotiating gorse. Also its worth looking at the fitment and ease of getting them on and off. I'm carrying a bit too much timber and not that flexible so struggle to put fiddly gaiters on and prefer something that stays on the boot and you just lace your boot up and zip up the gator. The Berghaus Yeti gators are great but they really do become part of your boot and I've found the best way to make them fit it to glue them to the boot - there very difficult to install at the best of times and require the rubber to be warmed in hot water and stretched on, once there on - there on!

I've tried a few different pairs of gaiters and they've all got there plus and minuses...

For the last few seasons I've been using Swazi gators and find them the best for me, they've worked well while beating through brambles in lowland woodland and been great sinking through sphagmoss up in the Highlands.

I use climbing gaiters - much snugger fit than traditional walking / stalking ones. Currently on my third set of Black Diamond Frontpoint ones. About £40, gore tex and pretty tough as they're designed for ice climbing with crampons flying around in close proximity.

I’ve got Mac guaiters they’re very warm but no good walking in brambles or on grouse moor, I’ve also got ex army ones, very tough, cheap off eBay and last for years.

Hunters element pinnacle gaitor, order them from NZ. Best gaitors I've seen/used and well worth the money.
